Ya-Qian Lan Dr. Ya-Qian Lan is a professor of Chemistry at South China Normal University (SCNU). He was born in 1978 in Jilin, P. R. China. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. degree (2009) from Faculty of Chemistry, Northeast Normal University under the supervision of Prof. Zhong-Min Su. In 2010, he joined Prof. Qiang Xu's group at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST, Japan) as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow. 2012-2021, he has been a Professor of Chemistry at Nanjing Normal University. His current research interests focus on the application of polyoxometalate-based composite materials in energy storage and conversion and porous metal-organic frameworks for applications in catalysis and proton conduction. He has published 180+ papers with over 18000 citations (H-index 73). He has been selected to be the “Young Cheung Kong Scholars Program” by the Ministry of Education of China and "Excellent Young Scientist Foundation" by Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) in 2016. | |
Shun-Li Li Dr. Shun-Li Li was born in 1979 in Jilin, PR China. She received her B.S. (2002) in Chemistry and Ph.D. degree (2008) from Northeast Normal University under the supervision of Prof. Jian-Fang Ma. She carried out postdoctoral studies with Prof. Zhong-Min Su in Environmental Chemistry at NENU. Then she worked as a JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) invited fellow at AIST (National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology) in 2012. She is a is a professor of Chemistry at South China Normal University. Her current research interest lies in the syntheses, structures and properties of polyoxometalate-based materials. Jiang Liu Dr. Jiang Liu was born in 1986 in ShanXi province, P. R. China. He received his B.S. and M. S. degrees from School of Chemistry & Material Science, Shanxi Normal University under the supervision of Prof. Xian-Ming Zhang. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. degree from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Sun Yat-Sen University under the direction of Prof. Ming-Liang Tong. In 2016, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group at College of Chemistry and Materials Science of Nanjing Normal University. His research interest focuses on the development of molecular-based metal cluster and metal-organic crystalline materials applied in energy storage and conversion, proton conductivity and photo/electric heterogeneous catalysis. Yi-Fa Chen Dr. Yifa Chen was born in 1989 in Fujian, PR China. He received his B.S. degree from School of Chemistry, Beijing Institute of Technology. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. degree from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Bo Wang. In 2018, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group as an associate professor at Nanjing Normal University. His research interest focuses on the fabrication of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) based devices like membranes, foams and fibers that can be applicable in energy storage and conversion, proton conductivity or photo/electric heterogeneous catalysis. Yong Yan Dr. Yan obtained BSc and PhD in Chemistry from Lanzhou University and the University of Nottingham, respectively. He has experience working in Nottingham, Manchester and Liverpool. His research is maily focused on design and synthesis of novel metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and the crystal structure characterisations of these materials using in situ crystallography methods such as single crystal and powder X-ray and neutron diffraction. Main results include: 1) The first-time synthesis of hexa-carboxylate linkers for the construction of MOF materials showing high performance for hydrogen and natural gas storage, and the explaination of adsorption mechanisms analyzed by using in situ neutron powder diffraction; 2) In situ high pressure crystallography proves the rare negative linear compressibility in a type of Zr-MOFs; 3) The innovative synthesis of flexible MOFs based on amino acid building units, and the characterisation of the dynamic structural response behaviors using in situ powder X-ray diffraction. He has published a total of 30 research papers including Nat. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Acc. Chem. Res., Chem. Soc. Rev. and Chem. Sci. Jiao-Min Lin Dr. Jiao-Min Lin was born in 1985 in GuangDong province, P. R. China. He received his B.S. and M. S. degrees from GuangZhou University under the supervision of Prof. Wen Dong. He subsequently obtained his Ph.D. degree from Sun Yat-Sen University under the direction of Prof. Jie-Peng Zhang. After that, he worked as a teacher at College of Chemistry and Materials Science, Shanghai Normal University. In 2021, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group at School of Chemistry, South China Normal University. Yitao Cao Dr. Yitao Cao was born in 1990 in Jiangsu province, China. He received his B.S. degree (2012) from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree (2017) from University of Chinese Academy of Science under the supervision of Prof. Tierui Zhang. He then joined Prof. Jianping Xie’s group in National University of Singapore as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2018 to 2023. In 2023, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group at School of Chemistry, South China Normal University. In the past few years, his research work focused on chemistry involved in the formation and transformation process of coinage metal nanoclusters. Mi Zhang Dr. Mi Zhang was born in 1991 in FuJian province, P. R. China. She received her B.S. degree from College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Jiangxi Normal University. She subsequently obtained her M. S. and Ph. D. degree from School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University under the direction of Prof. Ya-Qian Lan. She then carried out postdoctoral studies with Prof. Yue-Peng Cai in School of Chemistry, South China Normal University from 2020 to 2023. In 2023, she joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group as an associate research fellow at SCNU. Meng Lu Dr. Meng Lu was born in 1993 in Anhui province, P R. China. He received his B.S. degree from Harbin University of Science and Technology. He subsequently obtained his Ph. D. degree from the School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Nanjing Normal University under the direction of Prof, Ya-Qian Lan. He then carried out postdoctoral studies with Prof, Ya-Qian Lan in South China Normal University (SCNU) from 2021 to 2024 under the support of the Postdoctoral Innovation Talents Support Program. In 2024, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group as an associate research fellow at SCNU. Ning Li Dr. Ning Li was born in 1988 in Henan province, P. R. China. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Yangzhou University under the supervision of Prof. Ya-Qian Lan and Prof. Bao-Xia Dong. In 2017, she joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group at College of Chemistry and Materials Science of Nanjing Normal University. Teng Li Dr. Teng Li was born in 1992 in Shandong province, P. R. China. He received B.S. degree from Applied Chemistry, Guangdong University of Technology, and M. S. degree from Physical Chemistry in South China Normal University. And his Ph. D. degree was obtained from Organic Chemistry, Sun Yat-sen University. He then carried out postdoctoral studies in Institute of Microscale Optoelectronics, Shenzhen University from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, he joined Prof. Ya-Qian Lan's group as an associate research fellow at South China Normal University. Ying Zang Dr. Ying Zang was born in 1992 in Henan provinve, P.R. China. She received her Ph.D. degree in 2021 from Zhengzhou University, under the supervision of Prof. Thomas C. W. Mak. Since 2021, She then joined Prof. Yanqian Lan’s group in South China Normal University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2021 to 2024. In 2024, she earned the title of associate researcher. Her current research interest focuses on crystalline functional materials (COFs- and MOFs-based composites), as well as their application in photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, energy storage, and conversion.
